NEW POLL: 70% of Americans Say Trump “Not Doing Enough” to Bring Down Prescription Drug Costs

WASHINGTON – The Kaiser Family Foundation released a new poll yesterday that showed that 70% of Americans overall, and 77% of independents, say that President Trump and his administration are “‘not doing enough” to bring down the cost of prescription drugs.

“It shouldn’t surprise anyone that the American people aren’t buying President Trump’s rhetoric and don’t think he’s doing enough to bring down the cost of prescription drugs for them and their families,” said Lizzy Price, Director of Restore Public Trust. “Despite the promises he made, President Trump has filled his administration with pharmaceutical industry insiders and lobbyists who consistently put pharmaceutical company profits ahead of patients and their families. Unless President Trump reverses course and stands up to his friends in the pharmaceutical industry, Americans will blame him every time their prescription drugs increase while Big Pharma gets bigger profit margins.”
