WASHINGTON, D.C. – CNN published a series of shocking photos today showing migrants at the McAllen, Texas Border Patrol station over the weekend sleeping on the ground on rocks covered by Mylar blankets. Many of the photos included children. “A baby bottle filled with milk can be seen in one photo next to a child sleeping outside on dirt, and in another, a woman is seen sitting on rocks leaning against a wall clutching a child.” The photos appear to be the latest revelation on the Trump administration’s inhumane treatment of families and children within the immigration system.

“The Trump administration’s cruelty knows no bounds,” said Karl Frisch, a spokesperson for Restore Public Trust. “It is almost like the administration is using the abysmal treatment of migrant children to deter those seeking refuge at our border — just like they did with the family separation policy. It is time for Congress to force the Trump administration to come clean on these issues before more children are put in danger.”
